Grim Reaper Patch

This embroidered Grim Reaper patch can be ironed on or sewn on. It measures 5 by 3 inches. It has black stitching toward the outer edge of the black felt. The Grim Reaper is made up of 3 shades silver-grey stitching which is subtle thus hard to tell from the photo. The scythe is a silver-grey, the scythe handle a darker silver-grey and skeleton is an ivory silver color. The emblem comes from a WWI French fighter plane. The image is from the French Escadrille SPA94, and the Grim Reaper was the final unit insignia of this Escadrille. This emblem was always painted on a large black pennant that extended from the cockpit aft almost to the tail.
